Vintage Maton Flamingo Restoration
Thoroughly restored including neck reset/neck joint re-build, new pickguard, fresh coat of lacquer, full re-wire and hardware restoration.
This particular Flamingo had a ‘unique’ neck joint consisting of multiple species/pieces of timber (pine included). Unsure of whether what was hiding within the joint was from the factory or from a previous ‘repair’ attempt, the decision was made to re-build using QLD maple and Silver Quandong to match the original
