Epiphone Casino upgrade

4 February 2016

Just because a guitar is cheap, doesn’t always necessarily mean it’s no good! Often times at the bare bones of a cheap guitar will be a really nice instrument, simply let down by poor quality components and hardware. This is exactly the case for these lovely Epiphone Casino Coupe’s.

Construction wise these guitars are very solid, and use relatively nice timbers. Neck angle is perfect, and there is no issues with setting them up to play like butter. Unplugged, the tone is excellent – loud, defined, airy and full of midrange like any good 335 style guitar. It all unravels however when the guitar is plugged in! They also miss the mark aesthetically..

So we took in upon ourselves to upgrade this one to its full potential!
